Next stop Antarctica

This is our last day in Ushuaia - we get on the ship Ortelius bound for Antarctica at 4pm today. So we'll go quiet for the next 10 days and will be back on the 22nd (next stop Santiago). Right where did I put those sea sickness pill...

Our fleeting visit to Buenos Aires has come to an end. Next stop Ushuaia for the boat to Antarctica!

What a flight to London!

Probably the most spectacular flight to London we've ever had - and we've been on a few! Clear sky and flying right over the centre.

The photos don't do it justice but gives an good idea.

On our way

Made it to the airport and marked our arrival with a cheeky bon voyage drink. Few hours at Heathrow and then first stop Buenos Aires!!

Flights are booked

Talk about last minute planning - we've finally booked our flights. We fly to Buenos Aires on Thursday so are busy packing, buying things we need to take with us and sorting out what's left behind, mainly the house and the car.

Our first stop will be Ushuaia to get on a cruise to Antartica. I can't believe how expensive it is but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Penguins here we come...
